a little belated...but check out this week's post on design*sponge! we visited bill the bulb baron at the menlo park farmers market and made these fun little centerpieces made of mounds of dills.

we'll be updating the online shop very soon with some of the items we carry at our "real" shop. and the clogs are supposed to arrive tomorrow from sweden- weee! (west coast seed bombs, walnut pocket knives from france, gardener's soap, pacific coast "finders")

we were so excited when our friend lauren asked us to make a special bouquet for her sister's city hall wedding a few weeks ago. we just saw these photos and these from the fantastic jessamyn harris. wedding bowling? awesome. and how adorable is their little girl?

a new to us variety of amaranthus called glistening desert...or as we call it...gray strings. glistening desert is better.

week one

we are so excited to be in our new space. it has been a whirlwind two months or so! i slept for ten hours last night. that hasn't happened in quite a while, maybe since i was about five.

we like it wild- daphne

our post this week is on the powerfully fragranced daphne flower. just one of the tiny flower clusters can fill a room with an amazing fruit loopy scent. it is one of our favorite plants/flowers and had beautiful foliage, but it can be difficult to grow and is poisonous when ingested so use caution with planting location. most daphne plant owners think its worth the trouble though.
