saipua

sarah left a sweet comment here over the weekend- and then i found her lovely brooklyn store, saipua. she and her mother have a shop in red hook where they make flower arrangements and beautifully packaged olive oil soap. i love the mix of old and new with gardeny flowers. i bet the shop smells so wonderful.

get fruits

in an effort to eat healthier i have decided that making smoothies is a good idea. and the dogs think they might like it too.

in a hole

i have been feeling very distracted the past few weeks for a variety of reasons. i have made some decisions to try and get myself back on track so hopefully there will be a lot more work to show here in the coming month! in the meantime i have upgraded my flickr account and i'm adding lots of old and new images. it feels good to look back and see what i've done over the past two years with my little company- and think about where i go from here!

thanks

i just wanted to say a quick thank you to everyone who has emailed or commented in the past week. i am so proud that i have inspired you and that my little world of images is appreciated. i hope you'll keep coming back.

its ok

i really like this idea i saw here this morning. sighn will cut a million of these "its ok" pieces (perhaps it will take 30-60 years...). that is some dedication. he saves the outer section of wood and numbers each one- these will be displayed together when the project is done. find out more here and you can also purchase one. the artist will be working with the arbor day foundation to plant a tree for every piece sold.

lunch in half moon bay

today at noon

don't forget- i'll be adding a few things to the shop at around noon today! and i worked on this project for a long time yesterday. i have a bunch of vintage plastic doll faces with many ideas for them- the first being...bunny vase cover. sewing does not come easy to me, (i admire heidi kenney so much- she can make anything) but i love trying to figure out how to make things. i was going to put this bunny in the shop but i have grown very attached to her! i hope to make a bunch more now that i have figured out my way!
