amazing

while i was in newport i helped my aunt do flowers at her client's summer home. i was drooling over the color and pattern everywhere. the house is right on the ocean and had the most beautiful feeling, old and warm with a quiet stillness.

i am finally getting back to business after my trip to newport rhode island (where i grew up and almost all of my family is). i had forgotten what sticky heat feels like! it was in the 90's with high humidity almost every day.

i'm headed to rhode island tomorrow for a week for my 10 year high school reunion and my older brother's 30th birthday! i'll leave you with this photo of so happy pee wee.

mine

i bought a little card catalog drawer and a big stack of botanical prints on the trip to berkeley. i have a slight obsession with small boxes and drawers (especially ones with a special spot for a label). i have a few ideas for silk-screening on top of the prints...i'll show you when i come up with something.

lia and i took a trip to the east bay today to get a casper hot dog and visit a few salvage yards.
