big bro wedding

delayed one day by the hurricane- matt and i are determined to get to rhode island for my brother's wedding! it will be a small sweet ceremony by the sea in newport- i'm sure i'll have some pics to share. then we'll be headed to vermont for a few days for a wee road trip. can't wait. here is the happy couple at our wedding in april complete with silly photo props. see you in a week.

jill's wedding is up on design*sponge today wee! there will be lots more photos on flickr later- but you'll get a good idea of how the day went from reading the post. these are the hankies alethea made for the ladies in case there were tears. photos by rikki ward.

2 weeks

its been two weeks since the wedding and the photos are slowly coming in. the shots from my amazing photographer will be ready in a few more weeks and i can't wait to show you. we'll be doing a special post about it on design*sponge so i won't reveal too much here before then. here's one rikki took just after the ceremony.

we did it!

matt and i got married on saturday! it was amazing. here's my bouquet this morning- i made it at 11pm on friday night. many many pics and details in the coming days. phew.

if you came by the shop on saturday afternoon- we closed early for my bachelorette night! we picked up the gals in a limo and got driven around to various spots in san francisco for drinks and...other things. no strippers were involved though. my photos from the rest of the night got progressively blurrier. thanks ladies for an awesome night (especially my best two homies for organizing!).

i have a feeling i will be here a lot over the next month. i stopped by this weekend to take some more measurements and check out the current set up. just about a month left- its time to get busy!

sian did another amazing job on mini pee wee and bernie! she is making tiny custom portraits now- these are going to stand on small cakes at the wedding. here are the larger portraits she made a while back for me.

we got our photos taken a few weeks ago to practice for the wedding. matt and i are both pretty terrible in photos- but this was our favorite. no one is blinking. our photographer was very patient with us. thanks rikki.

save the date

just added pics to flickr with some more details on how we made them! the tags and stickers were all gocco printed- inspired by a vintage botanical identification label and our greenhouse location. we stuffed the bottles with the muslin label and threaded some baker's twine through so it was easy to pull out! we finished off with green grosgrain ribbon and a cork sticker.

well- our save the dates should be safe and sound with their owners now...so i'll share how i made them soon! here's a peek at the group shot. and! we're getting some engagement photos taken tomorrow by this talented lady- of course i just got a big zit.

save the date

things are really happening now! here is a small peek at a component of our save the date- our location is a greenhouse filled with ferns, with baby tears growing from the floor, and moss hanging from the ceiling. it will be an unusual wedding spot...but it seemed just right for us. these are cork stickers i made by gocco-printing a fern and punching out the scallop shape. lots and lots more peeks coming!
