hello 2009
i just got back from a trip to visit family and friends on the east coast. i spent the first days of the new year on a mini road trip through the berkshires. there was a storm on new years eve and everything had a fresh blanket of snow. i had forgotten what cold felt like. happy new year!

we stayed at a pretty bare bones- kinda old fashioned and spooky inn in charlemont mass (most of the pics are from there, the charlemont inn). i wouldn't quite call it a retreat :) then we drove to bennington vermont which was really beautiful. we stayed at a motel called knotty pines- nothin special. but i think you could find something real cozy in bennington.
