our new space is called prairie collective- we share our little storefront at 262 divisadero street with two other small businesses. magpie & rye is owned by our friend annabelle- she is carrying an amazing selection of jewelry, accessories, and home goods. our other friend lia (soon to be jill's cousin-in-law, writer and assistant for we like it wild on design*sponge, and a librarian!) is stocking a variety of vintage items and books. it had been an amazing collaborative effort putting the shop together and we are so excited to be working with these lovely ladies.
our opening day was interesting- but awesome. our phone line is still malfunctioning so we have no credit card machine or internet, ah well. we're getting around it the old fashioned way! come by and see us this weekend. we'll be open until 7 tonight and at least 5 tomorrow. lil' boy is hiding from valentine's day.
we are opening the shop at 11 today! we are not completely ready of course- but we just couldn't miss out on being open for valentines. michael made a few last minute adjustments on our furniture last night and we're going in to set up our goodies this morning! lots more pictures later.
our design*sponge post this week has some ideas for floral valentines that step away from the standard pink and red options and with a nod towards the fellas. how about a collection of vintage apothecary bottles, an old whiskey bottle with a black dahlia, a giant bundle of quince, or a garden of pink red and black succulents?
we'll be opening the doors at our new shop on thursday, but we just did a little online shop update for valentine's day. we have a $75 minimum for delivery on friday, saturday, and sunday and a $50 minimum for arrangement pick-up. we'll also have a few fun gifts available to purchase along with the flowers if you swing by. we have a big day ahead of us tomorrow setting up the shop!
our little pre-opening party was really fun! we are hoping to have the shop open by wednesday or thursday- we probably won't be fully set up but we want to be around for valentine's day.
a fun how-to we created for a non-traditional floral valentine at brides.com. we planted a collection of mosses and spring bulbs in jewel tones in a glass cylinder for a terrarium-like look.
we are kind of close to being done with the shop set up and we really need to cut loose. we'll be hanging out this friday from about 6 to 9 at our new space (262 divisadero street between haight and page). this is a PRE-opening celebration so we will truly be hanging out- not selling stuff yet. stop by and say hi if you're in the neighborhood- we'll have some wine!
this is all we can show you- until november. we created a bunch of holiday decorations for a fantastic photoshoot yesterday. everyone was so so nice, brought us cute sweaters to wear, took amazing photos that we got to peek at, and bought sushi for lunch.
